1: Getting Error connectiong to postgres from vb

I am getting the error when connecting to the postgres from vb.This
error is coming only when the the select query is having more than
six columns.

Error Message at vb:Request properties cann't be supported by ODBC
driver
Error Message at Postgres:Current Client encoding is SQL_ASCII
