Are there any datamodel changes in the sloan-bboard package that would
keep it from peacefully co-existing with the bboard 4.0.2b6 package?

You *cannot* use sloan-bboard and bboard right now. In fact, sloan-bboard is about to undergo massive revamping, first by reforking off the current bboard (given all the improvements made by others in the community). If sloan-bboard works for everyone (and I have a feeling it might), then it might supercede bboard (it should be a superset of functionality). I will let people in the community make the call, though, once sloan-bboard is fully done. Expect this by end of May.

Well ... my vote will be to adopt it as the standard bboard given the known problems with the current one.

Eric, migration shouldn't be that big a deal, no harder than the migratino from OACS 3.x bboards to OACS 4.x bboards in the first place.  Also ... good to see you here!
