Since I don't have the time these days to properly maintain the
Openfts tcl module, I would like to pass it on to somebody else who
has the time. This is an excellent project with some really top-notch
developers, and I expect that it will continue to evolve until
postgresql has state-of-the-art integrated search engine support. In
many ways, it already surpasses the capablities of many commercial
offerings.
I have updated the openfts tcl module to support the tsearch module in
pg 7.2, but I haven't found the time to completely test it, and
integrate some of the newer features that have already been
incorporated in the equivalent perl module. Neophytos used to do much
of that work, but since he left, I'm not able to keep up with it on my
own.
If anybody is interested in taking ownership of this module, please
