Forum OpenACS Q&A: Basic Authentication on AOL server (OACS4.5b)

Hi All,

My problem is that I need to set up Basic Authentication on AOL server
(my DSL provider requires it), but I can't figure out where the
modules/nsperm directories + files should go. I?ve tried under the
/web/server directory and aolserver/modules. I have definitely
included the module in the tcl configuration file. Can you not use
nsperm with OACS4.5b ?

Also, is there any kind of timetable for further public releases etc?

Great work guys ? this is really good quality stuff.

Many thanks,

Dinesh

If ~nsadmin is your aolserver root directory, and openacs4 is the name of your openacs server instance

~nsadmin/servers/openacs4/modules/nsperm would contain your group, passwd, and perms files.
