Forum .LRN Q&A: dotLRN documentation licence

Collapse
Posted by Pietro Zuco on
Hi all,

I'm about to create a CD with sources and instructions to setup a dotLRN server. The whole, CD and files has its own name, for example "X"

Inside the CD there is an HTML document that let the user browse the CD content and that HTML uses a logo. That's the logo related with the CD "X"

I created documentation, specifically for the CD and put the contents with the logo and a predefined style.

I would like to know if I can use the dotLRN documentation, to put it inside the CD with the rest of the documentation, and integrate it in documents formatted with the CD logo and style.

There will be no problems to put a reference from where the documentation was taken of.

My question is about the license.
It's creative commons, FDLGPL,...?

Thank you in advance.

Pietro.

Not sure which documentation you are talking about Pietro, but if there is an issue with the license we should change it so you can do what you want to do (e.g. just release it under the GPL umbrella). Your use sounds reasonable. Did you find some specific problem in the present license?
