I converted some of a Python implementation for Markdown to Tcl. My goal was to always offer more/better formatting options, but the Wikit code was already existing so it was the easiest to get working for an example.
I also looked at the Mediawiki code and several others but could not see any straigtforward way to take advantage of it.
Of course, the OpenACS wiki code already supports all the options of the new http://www.writeboard.com/ and more.
What formatting do we think is "required" for good documentation?
