Forum OpenACS Q&A: openoffice + postgres learning site...

I found this on the openoffice discuss list. Didn't check out their
system yet, but might be interesting!

"Hi everyone,

Some people have probably noticed my general absence from the
OpenOffice.org
scene for a little while.

I've been busy.  😊

Over the past couple of months the foundations for a new online
training
site, specialising in teaching OpenOffice.org and PostgreSQL (the Open
Source SQL database server), has been coming together.

The tutorials available through the site have been created in
Macromedia
Flash, and the style of them will be familiar to many, having been
developed from the Referential Integrity tutorial on the
techdocs.postgresql.org site.

Looks like the site is about ready, but before it goes live enough to
enable *real* credit card transactions (yes, it's a pay-for site) we
need some people to go through it and test it out.  "Kick the tires" so
to speak.  😊

So, if anyone has a couple of minutes to try things out, the site is:

http://www.digitaldistribution.com

During the sign-up process, use a credit card number of "4000 0000 0000
0001" and the expiry date of "08/2004" which will work.  It's not a
real
card number, but the whole site is in "test mode" so it won't check the
number properly anyway.

All feedback is 100% welcome, and if things go well then we can audit
the code behind it next week.  After fixing any issues which people
find
of course.  😊

From there it goes live (crossed fingers, etc).

😊

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift"
