This one is "out-there," for version 4.6 or even the foreseeable future but it sure would be handy...
How about a web-based spell checker tied into the forms API so that arbitrary text fields could be tagged as "spell-checkable"? I remember reading once on the old AD site that someone had written a cgi script to use the aspell library, but I never saw any code.
With all the work being done on dotLRN and CMS, it seems only natural that folks submitting home-work and/or content would appreciate this feature.
