I don't know of any work on Payflow Link. However, they way to integrate Payflow Link with the ecommerce module (or any other package) is to write an implementation of the payment service contract for Payflow Link.

You can take a look at the implementations for Authorize.net and Payflow Pro for examples how to create an implementation of the payment service contract.
