I've seen that Openacs 5.2.0 seems to have been released, but then on the news page, there is a comment saying that it has been withdrawn due to bugs...

I've searched in forums trying to find more info on the current situation with the project, but couldn't find anything.

Could anyone please shed some light on the current developments related to OpenAcs ?

Umm yeah.

I downloaded that a few days ago and we are currently deploying a system (with custom packages) built on the released 5.2

So if there are real problems with it I would appreciate knowing what and where they are so we can examine if it will affect us.

Not to worry. The problems were with upgrading to 5.2.0 for the most part. We are releasing 5.2.1 which will fix the upgrading problems, and of course, you will be able to upgrade from 5.2.0 to 5.2.1.
