Try the instructions here to anonymously login to Sourceforge CVS.

http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=3152

Is there a reason you need the CVS version of AOLserver instead of the latest release?

You have to read the instructions carefully. The anonymous password for most CVS servers is empty, you just press ENTER. The OpenACS CVS works this way as well.

Anonymous CVS Access

This project's SourceForge.net CVS repository can be checked out through anonymous (pserver) CVS with the following instruction set. The module you wish to check out must be specified as the modulename. When prompted for a password for anonymous, simply press the Enter key. To determine the names of the modules created by this project, you may examine their CVS repository via the provided web-based CVS repository viewer.

cvs -d:pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/aolserver login

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/aolserver co -P modulename

That's fine.
I have debian, so i just did apt-get and it worked out.
I was trying to go through the hardest way, to learn more about it.

i'll do that on my other station.
thanks for all
