It's sad but maybe a healthy decision though I have to admit that moving towards an object relational mapping would be better. No idea how much sense this would make with the current way acs objects are implemented or if it would make more sense with XoTcl in future.
I know some folks think that Oracle support is a selling argument. So maybe those who do business with OACS should speak up. I remember Dave saying that there is a TCL-API to ACS objects available or was it for the content repository?
