Hello!

We have some problems with big context switching
in our DB (Postgres 7) server at high loads.

Postgres 8 can solucionate part of the problem.
We like to know if anybody are using Postgres 8 with this
OpenACS release. I have read that I must do one dump / restore
but are there any other problem? Must I patch any file?

My understanding is that 8.1.x will not work with OpenACS because of the way they have changed things. There is an incopatible change that will break tree_sortkey .

However, I am curious if you noticed a difference after you turned off HyperThreading?
