cvs -d :pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.openacs.org:/cvsroot checkout -r oacs-5-7 acs-core

...works fine....but

cvs -d :pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.openacs.org:/cvsroot checkout -r oacs-5-7 acs-events

cvs -d :pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.openacs.org:/cvsroot checkout -r oacs-5-7 acs-datetime

cvs -d :pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.openacs.org:/cvsroot checkout -r oacs-5-7 rss-support

cvs -d :pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.openacs.org:/cvsroot checkout -r oacs-5-7 general-comments

...do not. They don't throw errors, they just don't deliver the packages! They generate output that seems to be updating code that isn't there.

Is this because only certain files within these packages have been sticky tagged?

Just the core packages are tagged with oacs-5-7, probably since just these were tested against the kernel.

Concerning error messages: this is a question of the cvs client. Why do you think that certain files were tagged? Just checked acs-events with cvs log, i see no file tagged with oacs-5-7.

What puzzled me is best shared as an example:
