As mentioned before, please post the full error log leading to the error, otherwise we have to guess.
There are known problems with at least some aolserver packages in ubuntu 12.04. At least in this ubuntu release, some compiler defaults were changed, leading to problems with missing symbols (symptom "could not find Ns_ModuleInit")
