Forum OpenACS Q&A: A way to promote persons to users and vis versa

I thought I saw a way to do this at one point when groveling through
the Tcl code, but my last search (admitedly some time ago) came up
with nothing.  Is there a way provided to easily convert a 'person'
object into a 'user' and also do the reverse?
