By the way, going back to the original thought of having the app work essentially as one person's diary with a discussion thread that hangs off of each entry (a la lars-blogger), An instructor could also use this as a way to structure class discussions. Basically, each blog post could be a conversation start, with the students responding in the attached thread. When the instructor wants to move the students on to the next conversation, s/he simply adds a new blog post.
