I want to clarify my previous post since I am back home and finished reading the thread.
- I do thank MIT for funding dotLRN. This thread was put on a public bboard I am responding without anger or malice.
- Lots of companies funded the openACS port (including people who are self-employeed so aren't directly getting a check from the effort) and they aren't asking for governance. So again thanks to MIT for funding dotLRN but... again I ask, why a governance? Why do they feel they need so much control (and that IS what this is about).
- I don't get paid to work on dotLRN code and therefor really have no say except, you asked.
