Thanks Al. Yes, I too had looked a Prometheus and it's not a platform I would have chosen but was surprised at the level of adoption they had achieved. We certainly don't want to adopt their (conventional) model but will have an uphill battle trying to explain our unconventional one (as evidenced in our struggle to define the governance model.)
That's why I've been trying hard to think of an example of a project comparable to dotLRN with a proven track record (committees that don't stifle innovation) and compare their governance model. Perhaps we're in virgin territory.
