the new statistics collector looks very nice!

unfortunately for me, PG 7.1.3 has gotten rather confused about what order objects were created in, so doing a reload will probably take hours of hand-editing the dump. :(

I was wrong.

The best reason to upgrade is "vacuum" does a lightweight non-exclusive-locking approach by default.

This is SOOOOOO much faster.  7.1.3 vacuum analyze would take well over an hour; it got bad enough that I had to lock out nsd while the vacuum ran so contention didn't nearly kill it.  With 7.2.1 I won't have to resort to this hack, thank goodness.

I nearly waited until 7.3 to upgrade; I'm glad I didn't.
