Mostly harmless. 😊

I was worried that the image studies looked overwrought, but this is quite nice.

Maybe try to move ad_header and/or context_bar up somehow so that the header uses less vertical space overall? I'm not entirely happy with our solution, but see if there's anything worth stealing from my.brandeis.edu or our coming redesign at http://sandbox.brandeis.edu/ and we'll do the same. I do believe your CSS is a heck of a lot cleaner than ours.

(Thank you, thank you for keeping :link and v:link usably colored. This is a battle I seem to have lost locally.)

CSS, Tables, Forms, and Netscape 4:

The only CSS safe with tables is color and font-face. Hopefully you won't have to resort to the evil, evil Netscape4-specific .jss that our designer inflicted on http://www.brandeis.edu/its/

Good you don't try to set line-height. It does *very* bad things to tables and forms in Netscape 4. Table elements actually disappear.
