The dotlrn portal system sets eagerly the portal parameter "display_group_name_p", which is - as far i can tell - nowhere used and completely useless. In our production environment, we have over 4mio parameter values for this parameter, on an other system i have checked, there are over one million entries.

Before deleting this from dotlrn, is there anyone, who needs/wants this parameter, or can explain its intended functionality?

Here in Costa Rica, at tecDigital we don't use and don't know about that procedure.
