Forum .LRN Q&A: Response to dotLRN on .NET

What I urge you to think about is the following: if we can obtain funding and resources from Microsoft to strengthen dotLRN but using .NET in some way. Should we accept? If so, how should the funding and resources be used?

How about TCL.NET (for Mono)? If the web services components were integrated into dotLRN/OpenACS using the service contract architecture, couldn't we just package up the .NET stuff into apms and turn it off and on with the flick of a switch, thereby reaping the benifits of .NET while avoiding dependence on it?
