So, all of a sudden, we basically have WebDAV, SOAP, and OKI about 80-90% ready to integrate with OpenACS/dotLRN.
Damn.
Regarding the idea of using WebDAV as an interface to the CR, this could be part of the solution to the CMS UI problem. In an ideal world, content creators and editors would just mount the relevant folders on their desktops, work with the files as normal, check them in via WebDAV, and they're done.
If you think about it, this would be a pretty cool interface for CVS too. I think several different Open Source projects are working on just this idea.
