Also, IRT arrogance, I am extremely sensitive to security issues even if they are "hard" to exploit. It is all in perception and this is the first I heard of a 7.2.2 release (although I don't hang out at PG) and that makes me happy.

When 7.3 comes out will it require an initdb? The reason I ask is that pg_dump is really unreliable and if it is true that the parameters and identifiers will be lengthened (and logging improved), then it will require an easy way to dump/restore. Coming from Oracle land I never had this problem, but I tried to dump a 7.2.1 db and when I reimported it no matter what I tried it failed.
