Forum OpenACS Q&A: Internationalization of Calendar

I tested the dotLRN testing server and it reminded me of the old question I've had in mind. Namely, is there an easy way to set the weeks to begin on Monday in openACS Calendar? I suppose dotLRN is using it's services. I tried to look at the documentation of datetime and calendar widgets, but didn't find a way to accomplish the task.

If there's no trivial way to change the behaviour, I think it should also be on the internationalization todo list, for both dotLRN and openACS. I'll never get used to start my week on Sunday =)

yeah, changing the UI for the week to start on monday is not trivial. someone with need to hack acs-datetime/tcl/acs-calendar-2-procs.tcl and maybe elsewhere.

Jerry Asher hacked the 3.2.5 calendar to make this happen...

I agree it's an important point. I could imagine that it'd be on our list, but we don't know yet, so if somebody else wants to do this, please go ahead. I can't imagine that it could be *all* that hard to do.
