<p>I don't see why. AOLserver has a database abstraction layer that supports several databases. Tcl standard package support is being worked on for 4.0, and currently works if you just put a small hack in your startup files. The only "dependency" I see here is the operating system, and that also is being worked on. FastCGI is probably just a matter of grabbing the Windows version (I assume it has a Windows version).

<p>But then what makes you think that you'll be able to maintain a completely different piece of software that nobody is familiar with, namely mod_crummy, that has no strong backer behind it? At least with AOLserver you can point to AOL.
