Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem.

I was installing the packages needed for dotLRN and got this error

Requires dotlrn of version >= 1.0.
Requires file-storage of version >= 4.1.v
Requires bm-portlet of version >= 0.1a.
Requires calendar-portlet of version >= 0.1a.
Requires new-portal of version >= 0.1a.
Requires news of version >= 4.1.0b.v

I read that dotLRN does not work with OpenACS 4.5
Should I upgrade ACS ?? The other option is to force the installation
which I think is not correct to do.
I am using postgres 7.2

Sandhya,

By any chance are you using OpenACS 4.5  release tarball?  Then that could be the problem - for dotLRN  needs OpenACS 4.5 ( shouldn't call it OpenACS 4.5 really, HEAD from OpenACS 4.5 cvs development branch would be more appropriate) from cvs.

I think it would be appropriate to name that the 4.6 development version :)

Yes, I am using tarball for OACS 4.5 Hm but I got the latest update from cvs Still I get dependencies error. Do I uninstall ACS 4.5 and start again??

Sandhya, If you are still having trouble, I would uninstall and use openacs CVS according to the instructions.
