Torben, Ben , Aldert - thanks for your comments. I agree with Torben about the importance of the sequence of presentation/treatment of subjects. I agree with Ben that this thread may explode into newer Babylon. It might work, however, if we stick to a few conventions. The thread might even provide a sound basis for some neatly edited and maintained information - e.g. in the available docbook?

The learning sequence suggested by Torben is valid, I think. However, I would suggest that the read-install-readmore-experiment workflow may be more effective at the granularity level of the 9 questions I mentioned in my last response than at the general system level as proposed by Torben.

I further suggest the convention, that I introduce the question under discussion with its first concept answer using Q# and A# - and that comments relate to this question until the next one is put to the fore. Comments might be categorised using read, install, readmore and experiment tags.

I will post the first Q/A tuple presently.
