Forum OpenACS Q&A: Internationalization work starting

The push to internationalize OpenACS and .LRN that was kicked off
with the mini-conference in Amsterdam back in June, has finally
begun.

<p>

We took the first steps yesterday, and the first thing we did was
set up a web site for people to keep track of our progress. It's at
<a
href="http://www.collaboraid.biz/extranet/i18n/">http://www.collabora
id.biz/extranet/i18n/</a>.

<p>

We want to do this in an entirely transparent way, we want to
involve all the people who have experience. This is really more
about synthesizing, distilling, and integrating, than about doing
anything that no-one has done before. The primary contribution will
be pulling everything together so it sticks.

<p>

Alright, please join us over at the project home page. We did set up
a discussion forum, but my personal opinion is that we should keep
the discussions on the openacs.org boards, so we get the widest
possible audience. The forum over at our site is mainly meant to be
an easy way to write things to us that aren't relevant to the entire
OpenACS community.

<p>

See you soon! :)

<p>

Hi, Lars
I can't read the docs at http://cph01.collaboraid.net:8096/doc/
Maybe you could change the permissions.
Thanks.
