Hi,

In case anybody is still interested in the old stuff.  RH has put the
old bboards back again and the ASJ.  Its at http://ccm.redhat.com

Thanks to RH and particularly to Richard Li in bringing the archives back.

Very nice and good fun to read Philip Greenspun's comments about Illustra before switching over to Oracle, shame there is no search facility though as there are a *lot* of posts.

John, it's all static files. You can grab them all and search them locally with grep.

Thats a good point Dirk and I will do that, also I have used a free indexing service to index the first 1500 posts on the web DB for those who dont wish to download all the files themselves they can find it here

Thank you VERY MUCH!!

Please leave all that stuff up -- forever.  There is a lot of valuable info in those threads and ASJ links!  I think it offers a valuable continuity to the community, too.

Thanks again for doing this!!

Louis

BTW, please also add the old problem set BBoards, too.

Folks may still trickle in and find the info useful due to "the book".

In fact, how about offering *** ALL *** the old Arsdigita.com online stuff/content on a CD/DVD?  Many folks would pay for a copy if it's not too much.  I would.

Please add the other old forums/BBoards.

Thank you!

Louis

for doing a search you can also go to google and type in

site:ccm.redhat.com your search words

and it will only search ccm.redhat.com site and you get all the goods of a google. search... though obviously if this was just put up, everything may not be indexed yet.
