Am I correct in assuming that :
1) The most recent version that will work with the openacs as per
the openacs installation instructions is version 0.2.
2) That if I follow the instaructions for openfts perl 0.34 and
install it with Postgres 7.2.3, the ACS will not know how to talk to
it.

Both assertions are correct. I've used the latest OpenFTS version but
not with OpenACS.
