I am about to setup incoming email for a forums installation, which
requires a qmail-style Maildir inbox for the incoming email, and I was
wondering if this is going to be a setup that can be used for other
future functionality of openacs as well, e.g. are there plans to use
the code in notifications that polls for incoming email in other
packages too?
Any other thoughts on incoming email functionality? As far as I can
see there are additionally these packages that deal with incoming
mail: email-handler, acs-mail and webmail. I haven't looked into any
of them in detail - but specifically email-handler looks as if it was
designed to do this stuff - why was it not suited to be used by
notifications?
