OK I will say what many of us OACS users are asking.

Why is dotlrn in the release cycle of OACS?

It has it's own OCT and should release whenever they deem necessary.

I understand the dotlrn is where many people make a living, but there are many more of us who don't use it and it is making the toolkit very hard to use with all the dotlrnisms.

There is no technical reason that the core of OACS should have anything to do with .lrn and should be released on its own.
