Sorry for this stupid question, but I don't know in what langage OpenACS is programmed ?
Redhat CCM is in java/j2ee.
AolServer is in C.
And OpenACS ?

OpenACS is programmed in Tcl, making heavy use of the AOLserver Tcl API and its modules.

Tcl is a simple, easy language, and make for very rapid development.
