Could anyone tell me what is the diff between  cvs head and cvs branch?

for dotlrn which installation document should i use?

The OpenACS 4.6 branch has a bunch of bug fixes and is a lot more reliable than head. The primary added feature of head is Internationalization support. Head also has a number of enhancements to the APM, notifications, service contracts etc. but the plan is to roll these into the 4.6.2 release.
