Forum OpenACS Q&A: lars-blogger: comment-add fails

My problem today is that I cannot add comments to blog-entries created with lars-blogger.

I'm running the OpenACS 4.6.1 and simply mounted lars-blogger at /blog, then restarted the server. I can post blogs alright, but can't add comments. When I click the link I get

"The requested URL was not found on this server."

The 'add comment' link points to 'comment-add', however there seems to be no .adp or .tcl file of this name within the lars-blogger package.

What am I doing wrong?

Kind regards and thanks in advance,

Tom

p.s. I tried posting this at Lars's forum at pinds.com but all attempts to submit (confirm) my post timed out (MacOSX 10.2.4 Safari v67) without my post showing up...

Do you have the general comments package mounted somewhere?

No, Eric, I didn't. Now I do, however, and comments work like a charm -- Must be some weird coincidence, huh? 😉

Seriously, I'm beginning to dig the whole concept more and more: of course the comment-functionality shouldn't be part of lars-blogger (or any other package) it would break the whole modular/generic approach of OpenACS that attracted me to it in the first place...

Thanks for your help,

Tom
