Third resurrection, sort of. I see the use of attributes as a very handy way of extending existing packages with new data. E.g.: Bugtracker is great, but for my needs I may want to add a couple of fields as additional standard fields with variable data (like additional descriptions). I don't, however, want to post them as comments (PHB wants to see them as a separate item all together on a report). So, I could add an attribute of "string" datatype to object_type bt_bug, call it, say "Impact" and then have a (more) generic way of including it into forms and reports.
