Although there haven't been any Vetos, I think we have enough community feedback to need a full vote :)

I agree with Talli's concerns about the unelected nature of the OCT. However, given the time (many months) and length (many posts) and concrete results (very little) of discussions to date, I see our current choice as between the OCT and the fraction of Don that is available, rather than between an elected OCT and a cabal.

So I'm calling for a full vote of the existing OCT to ratify themselves, because then our process will be bootstrapped up one level. We'll have a place of record for decisions and we'll have a process that isn't wholly dependent on Don.

Then we should start a new discussion, leading within days or weeks to a TIP, so that we can ask the current OCT to approve their own replacement via a permanent, democratic process.
