1. Issues around acs-lang/ KeepLocalTranslations/ Quest modifications, following TIP #113:
Victor and Emma spent time to investigate on the 5.4+ state of the KeepLocalTranslations implementation; confirmed initial suspicion on the misbehaviour upon message key imports; first round of fixes just revealed other, more fundamental inconsistencies in the current implementation; decision to roll-back related change sets to the last state known to be stable (in view of a 5.4.2 maintenance release); OCT requires a new TIP process on that matter (design considerations)
2. Hidden dependencies/ redundancies between search and intermedia-drivers (on oracle)
Mario Aguado (UNED) revealed some unintendend coupling between search and intermedia-driver package on Oracle installations; this is due to index creation for the latter triggered in the former, creating an implicit package-level dependency; Dave investigated on it and committed a cleanup; tests are pending
3. Maintenance release 5.4.2
Don (release manager) decided to schedule a _beta_ release after (1) rollback-induced tests of issue 1 (see above) and (2) testing of issue 2 (see above)
4. Debian/ Ubuntu packaging
Generally speaking, the majority of tasks was tackled. Single one item missing is tdom Debian package, mastered by Carl and Avni; Hector is going to contact the Debian Tcl/Tk maintainer team to clarify some issues with selecting appropriate path locations for the OpenACS/.LRN packages.
5. Source configuration management
Postponed to the next OCT meeting, on April 23.
