I am reporting from the American University in Bulgaria.We are at the very beginning of experimental installation and using of .LRN. In parallel with our efforts to initiate a Pilot Project (Thanks to Grigor Monovski!), three weeks ago we did an experimental installation of .LRN 1.0.1 on experimental "server" of Computer Science Department (It could be hardly named server - P4 at 1.3GHz with 256MB RAM). We have already 60 registered users (9 of them professors - mainly from the Computer Science Department), three active classes with 45 students and three communities created so far (we are at the second week of the semester).
Three senior students are involved also under the Independent study and/or Senior Project regulations to help the Computer Science faculty in implementing .LRN in our university.
I hope that our Pilot Project will formally start very soon - we are seeking some funding for it.Our goal now is through these "live" experiments to prepare ourself and other faculty for using .LRN immediately after the Pilot Project starts.
