Thanks for the responses, I think I may have made the change to make it work. I changed both the hostname and address to 127.0.0.0 in the nsd.tcl and changed the entry in /etc/hosts to "127.0.0.0 server1". I can now connect by typing "lynx server1". The first page that comes up is the register page, is that correct?
Also, I do not have X installed, so Lynx is my only browser at the moment. Is Lynx supposed to work with OpenACS. Lynx does store cookies, but I keep getting thrown back to the registration page.
