And please don't say "it's a small portal". =)

Looking at the packages to install, I see variations of packages with "-portlet".

What is meant by that? ie. How is it different than the package without it?

Okay, after some more digging, I found this message and related thread most useful.

So, portlets are in a sense, modularized revisions of existing packages, designed to be used with ACS-templating system "include" tags.
