jarkko, Actually i have an assignment for usage of email handler.

i am using openACS5.0

See, if i had been subscribed to some forums in a site, if anyone had posted anything new , it comes to my mail box and from my mail box, if i reply, it gets directly posted on the discussion or whatever forums.

I wanted to implement the above one using email handler.

Is email handler used for that purpose only? If yes, how to use it, as i had download email-handler4.0.1

if not, what is the package which is used for?
and works on which version of openACS?

Asif,

OpenACS forums can do that already, so if you want to do something similar, you might as well use forums as such, or modify it to meet your needs. AFAIK, email handler is quite flexible, so you can use it to the task you mentioned but it's not limited to it.
