there is some (older) material out on http://www.fraber.de/university/bootcamp/. In particular, there is a "Short References" PPT/PDF with a single slide per tool: Emacs, Unix, TCL, HTML, ... for absolute beginners.
We had some good success teaching "black screens" to MBAs at Competitiveness.com using this material. Maybe it would also work for these quiche eating, M$-spoiled kiddies that are around these days ... 😊
