I'm exploring the creation of a package for managing documentation translations as a community effort.

The OpenACS doc currently states that "OpenACS does not have a general system for supporting multiple, localized versions of user-input content."[1]

I see that a consensus has been approved with TIP #66[2] (following these threads[3][4]).

Has this tip been implemented, just not documented?  What's the status?

The docs[5] refer to the thread[4] above, so I have something to go on for now. Still would like to know if someone is using it yet, though.
