I recall at least one ACS site that was a job portal (aka monster.com)
for students. Is it still around? Are there others?

ACSjobs.net used to feature a list of jobs, but is down at the moment. Allan Regenbaum is the guy you need to talk to if you want to know more about that project.

http://www.jobdirect.com was a site that aD worked on a long time
ago. It is pre-ACS, but uses AOLserver + Oracle.

I'm a developer at Jobdirect. For better or worse, the arsDigita origins of the code have mostly been paved over at this point - except for parts of the e-commerce module. There is no resemblance between the ACS data model and ours. But, yes, we do soldier on with AOLServer and Oracle.

A student team from MIT made an ACS site for the world's largest student organization, called AIESEC. Their project page is at http://6916.lcs.mit.edu/gallery/spring2000/spring-2000-aiesec.html.

JobDirect was never based on ACS. It was launched pre-ACS.  It did use the same AOLServer utilities file.
