I've had bad experiences previously with the word "new" in program names. Namely after a few years someone decided to make another one and we ended up with something like new-ticket-new or some such thing. Also in a few years it wasn't new any more. It was old but we were still calling it "new".

yeah, you can blame me for that naming scheme. The idea was that these
would be temporary fixes. Of course, as always, they've turned into
much more than anything "temporary." The good thing is that, as we
move to 4.x, we are renaming, reordering, rearchitecturing everything,
so this clear sign of Ben's insanity will not live on for very much
longer....
