Forum OpenACS Q&A: totally off topic: enlight ATX case

I bought an enlight 72370 case from newegg.com and it just arrived. Newegg is highly recommended but I'm not sure about the case yet. :) The 5 1/4 bays have some kind of funky layout with square holes in the bays that have thin lips inside. The lips aren't wide enough to support a bay so I have no idea what to do with this son of a gun. Here's what it looks like:

Anyone have any idea what I need to do to mount a drive in this thing? I guess I'm mechanically challenged.

It should have come with some rails that you attach to the side of your 5 1/4 inch device and then slide it in.

You can also mount a bare drive in the 3 1/2" bay below the 5 1/4" bay...

Many thanks, David; I called newegg and they're sending me out the rails.

Don't tighten the rails hard at all on the device initially, but allow some movement. This way the device can slip into the bay gracefully without harshness. It's then possible (if my memory serves me right) to tighten the screws from the sides...
