some of us like installing from source and /usr/local/pgsql/lib is
the standard location in that instance. I haven't had any troube on
any of my systems.
I'd be more interested in using rpms if I understood them better.
can you tell me how to figure out what actions an rpm took or will
take and what files it puts where?
